Red Eye Evaluations

Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, can be caused by a bacterial infection, viral infection or an allergic condition. Symptoms of conjunctivitis include eye redness, eye irritation, crusting of eyelids, goopy or colored discharge, or uncontrollable watery eyes.

​​​​​​​Some types of conjunctivitis may be contagious. It is very important to be seen as soon as you experience any symptoms as appropriate treatment and management is key to your recovery. Evaluation for conjunctivitis are considered medical office visits and are different from your comprehensive eye exam. Medical office visits can often be billed under your general medical insurance.
